Laszlo Moholy-Nagy (1895-1946) was a major innovator of the avant-garde and one of the twentieth century’s most important art theoreticians. He experimented ceaselessly with new ways of seeing – using photo-montages, photograms, film and kinetic sculpture – and proposed the camera as a way of complementing and perfecting the human eye.
